Salvatore Mineo Jr. was an American film and theater actor best known for his role as Plato in Rebel Without a Cause (1955).
He was surprisingly open about his sexuality throughout his life, as bisexual!
He was tragically murdered in an alley behind his apartment in 1976 by a man who had confessed to ten robberies in the same area.
In a 1972 interview with Boze Hadleigh, Mineo talked a lot about his opinions about human sexuality and his bisexuality.
